Job Summary:

The Swift +  Company Catering Production Manager reports to the owner and is responsible for the back-of-house production of Swift + Company catering events.  This is a full time position with excellent growth potential. Off premise catering experience preferred but willing to train the right person with a can-do attitude.

Job Description

The Catering Production Manager is an integral member of the Swift + Company catering team.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Inventory and purchasing of foods, liquor, wines and beverages for events
• Answering phones / directing inquiries / filing documents
• Miscellaneous errand running
• Responsible for packing food and beverages for events
• Maintaining an organized office
• Carrying out specific projects and research by deadline, following up on results
• Acting as an event production assistant the day of events as needed
• Assisting with miscellaneous administrative duties
• Personal assistant / support to the owner
• Scheduling staff for events
• Maintaining a tidy and well-merchandised showroom for rental equipment
• Auto / van upkeep and servicing
• Other duties to be determined

Skills / Qualifications:

1. Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
2. Ability and willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends
3. Must display excellent customer service skills and great attitude
4. Must have good clerical skills
5. Must have good oral and written communication skills
6. Must be highly motivated with ability to work independently
7. Ability to multi-task
8. Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic
9. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and ability to drive catering vans and trucks
10. Four year college degree preferred
11. Previous experience in a hospitality / hotel / restaurant / catering environment preferred
12. Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge and proficiency required
13. TABC certified
